Our rates, in full.
One family per instructor, never shared with another party. The rates below apply across all five villages of the 3 Valleys — Val Thorens, Courchevel, Méribel, Les Menuires and Saint-Martin de Belleville — and we meet you at your chalet door or the lift gate of your choice.
We do not price by the hour. A morning is a morning: the instructor's day is committed to one family, and cannot be divided between several groups. That is the entire economics of the model, and it is why the half day does not cost half the day.
What the rate carries.
- A state-certified instructor — the Diplôme d'État from the École Nationale de Ski et d'Alpinisme, without exception.
- Exclusivity — never another family in your lesson, whatever the date.
- A named instructor, confirmed in writing before the deposit is taken.
- Language matching — French, English, Italian, and Russian through two long-standing colleagues.
- Pick-up where you are staying, in any of the five villages, including a different one each morning.
- The concierge layer — lift coordination, lunch reservations, equipment delivered to the chalet. Arranged at no fee.
- Full avalanche kit on off-piste days — transceiver, shovel, probe.
What is billed separately.
We arrange these for you, and we invoice them at cost. There is no margin and no handling fee.
- Lift passes — for you, and for the instructor when the programme requires it.
- Equipment hire — skis, boots, boards, delivered to your accommodation.
- Helicopter transfers and pick-ups — quoted by the operator, and paid directly to them.
- Restaurant tables — we hold them, you settle them.
Christmas, February, Easter.
The figures above are starting rates for an ordinary winter week. Christmas, New Year, the February school holidays and Easter carry a premium — the instructors are finite, the demand is not, and we would rather say so plainly than publish a rate we cannot honour in high season. The exact figure is confirmed before you commit to anything, never after.
Those weeks also book far earlier. Allow at least two weeks in ordinary periods, and up to sixty days for the festive season: committing a named instructor to your week means taking their diary off the market.
Deposit and cancellation.
A 30 % deposit confirms the booking; the balance falls due fourteen days before the first lesson. We accept bank transfer for the deposit, and transfer or card for the balance. Cash and cheques are not accepted.
Should your plans change, the terms are these:
- Seven days or more before the first lesson — the deposit is refunded, less a fixed administrative fee of €150 covering the instructor's reservation.
- Between three and seven days — fifty percent of the total is retained.
- Under three days — the booking is non-refundable. The instructor's calendar is locked by then.
Cancellations should be sent in writing, by email or WhatsApp, and take effect at the time we receive them. Lessons we cancel for safety reasons — avalanche risk, a closed domain, an instructor suddenly unavailable — are always refunded in full or rescheduled at no cost. The full text is in our terms of sale.
What we do not publish.
Two programmes are quoted individually, because no two are alike and an indicative figure would mislead more than it would help.
- Race and performance coaching — gate work with video, timing and stadium access, by the day or in five-day blocks. From age twelve.
- Helicopter drops and pick-ups — priced by the operator per rotation, subject to weather and to French regulations on where a helicopter may land.
In both cases the figure reaches you before anything is committed. We do not begin work on a programme a guest has not seen the price of.
